We direct a short laser pulse at the tattoo, and it passes harmlessly through the skin. The tattoo pigment is the target, while the surrounding skin remains intact. This question is difficult to answer without seeing the tattoo. Therefore, we offer a FREE Consultation to provide you with all the information needed to make your decision. Many factors influence the number of treatments required. These include the tattoo's location, size and age, skin tone, ink type and colors used, ink density, the client's health, and the quality of the original application. Considering all these factors helps determine the estimated number of treatments needed. Clients may see complete removal in as little as one session, though multiple treatments are generally required to achieve results. The average number of sessions can range from 2–5 on the low end to 9–13 or more on the high end when performed by an experienced professional using premium-grade equipment.
It is advisable to wait between 45 and 120 days between laser tattoo removal treatments. This gives the body time to naturally eliminate the ink and allows the area to heal. Our laser technician will help you properly space out your treatments to achieve optimal results.
Yes, although there are limits to what we can treat during each visit, depending on the individual. Tattoo size, density, colors, location, and the client's health and tolerance will ultimately determine the amount of ink we can treat in a single session. Some colors and inks respond better to treatment than others, but generally speaking, most colors can be removed, although there may be limitations regarding the safe removal of specific colors depending on your skin type.
In most cases, the answer is "yes." However, we cannot guarantee 100% ink removal. Ultimately, your tattoo was intended to be permanent; should this situation arise, one would expect to see a "ghosting effect"—a faint remnant of the tattoo left behind. The extent of this can vary from person to person.

Generally, laser tattoo removal treatments feel like a rubber band snapping against the skin. A device will be used to cool the area during the removal process and help minimize any discomfort you might feel.
The likelihood of developing scars following laser treatment is low with today's technology. The most common risk or unwanted effect associated with any laser treatment is the potential occurrence of hypopigmentation (lightening of the skin) or hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin). This type of side effect can vary in severity and is generally temporary, though in some cases it may be permanent. You will receive a detailed consultation and aftercare instructions which will help minimize any unwanted outcomes.
Most clients will experience only redness and swelling during and immediately after a laser treatment, typically lasting between 24 and 48 hours. Some clients—though less frequently—may experience temporary burning, tingling, bruising, or itching. Very few clients will develop blisters or scabs associated with the treatments.
Generally speaking, the answer is "no." Depending on your lifestyle, hobbies, or job, there may be some additional steps you need to follow to ensure the best results, and this will be explained to you during your office consultation.
